Ryan Mason has posted on Instagram that he is ‘looking forward’ to coaching again next season at Tottenham.

The 30-year-old took charge of Tottenham’s first team towards the back end of the 2020/21 Premier League campaign.

And if rumours are true, then he might just be taking charge of pre-season because, at this moment in time, Tottenham don’t have a new manager.

Mason’s name has been mentioned, but he clearly isn’t at the top of Tottenham’s list, but then again, who is because every name under the sun has come and gone.

Nonetheless, with Daniel Levy making an absolute mess of Tottenham’s current situation, Mason might have to step in again.

And this is what he posted on Instagram ahead of the new season:

There have even been some suggestions that Spurs should hand the managerial keys to Mason.

Crystal Palace winger, Andros Townsend, who came through the club’s academy with the ex-midfielder, thinks he should be given the gig for one season.

Not because he wants Mason to be Tottenham’s first-choice, but if Levy continues to struggle to find a Jose Mourinho replacement then Townsend thinks his former teammate should instead be given a shot.

In truth, if that were to happen then there would be serious uproar in North London and the already toxic atmosphere would get that bit nastier.
