According to talkSPORT, Tottenham Hotpsur are now focusing on appointing Nuno Espirito Santo as their new manager having scrapped a move for Gennaro Gattuso.
This frankly shambolic search for a new Tottenham manager goes on having seemingly almost appointed Paulo Fonseca, only to scrap that deal on Thursday.
Tottenham then went for Gattuso, and that deal was dead within 24 hours. Tottenham are now onto option six or seven at this point, and it’s suggested that Nuno is a top target.
Paratici’s interest in Nuno
The report claims that new managing director of football Fabio Paratici is a big fan of Nuno and wants to bring him to North London.
Nuno left Wolves at the end of last season and has been heavily linked with both Crystal Palace and Everton, but remains out of work.
The report even states that some ‘leading figures’ inside Tottenham are still keen to bring back Mauricio Pochettino from Paris Saint-Germain, though Nuno now looks more likely.

Is Nuno really what Tottenham are seeking?
When Jose Mourinho lost his job at Tottenham, Daniel Levy suggested that Spurs wanted to find a manager who would bring ‘attacking and entertaining football’ to the club.
Is that really Nuno? Attacking players like Diogo Jota, Raul Jimenez and Pedro Neto have all thrived under Nuno, but he isn’t a progressive, attacking coach by nature.
Wolves were a fairly conservative side last season, and Nuno’s approach doesn’t really line up with Levy’s comments, meaning this move may really be down to Paratici only.
