Speaking on the UnitedPeoplesTV YouTube channel, Fabrizio Romano has delivered an important update on Tottenham and West Ham target Jesse Lingard.

Lingard has been linked with a move to both Spurs and West Ham in recent days, and while nothing is close to being finalised, Romano has said that he is now ready to leave Manchester United.

“There is something around always with clubs like Sheffield and many others interested in Lingard and ready to give him a chance of playing and then next summer moving to a top club,” Romano said.

“Here in Italy we have a lot of rumours about Lingard being offered to AC Milan and offered to Inter Milan, so a lot of clubs are interested, but at the moment 100% he is not coming to Italy and there is nothing advanced yet with English clubs.

“I think it is a typical opportunity for the last week, in the last week we will see if some clubs arrive, will make a proposal, will talk with the agent, because at the moment there is nothing advanced. But having a player like Lingard available on the market and ready to leave the club, if some opportunity will be in the coming days, for then he will go on.”

It seems as though he won’t be moving to Italy this month, but he is on the market and ready to leave.

It will be interested to see whether or not Spurs or West Ham can strike a deal for him in the coming days after both have been credited with an interest.

For Spurs, we imagine a lot of it depends on whether or not they can get rid of Dele Alli, and for West Ham, it probably depends on how much money is left over after they sign a striker, whoever that may end up being.
