Speaking on the Transfer Window Podcast, Ian McGarry has named Liverpool as one of the clubs who are looking into the possibility of signing Kylian Mbappe this summer.
It has previously been reported that the Frenchman is interested in a move to Anfield, and it seems as though the Reds are now thinking about making a move for him.
Obviously, a move to sign Mbappe would cost a pretty penny, but with both Fabrizio Romano and David Ornstein recently claiming that Liverpool have big plans for next summer, this could be in the pipeline.
“Mbappe has signalled to PSG that he will not be signing a new contract, it goes into it’s final year this summer, so it has presented them with an option. To take a transfer fee this summer or lose him for nothing in a year’s time,” McGarry said
“Therefore, you have Madrid, Barcelona, Liverpool, Manchester United and possibly Manchester City looking at the possibility of taking Mbappe this summer when he’s available at a reasonable price.”

Mbappe to Liverpool would probably be one of the biggest signings in the club’s history.
Nobody needs telling just how good Mbappe is, he has 39 caps for France at the age of 22, he’s scored in a World Cup final as a teenager and he’s generally seen as one of the best young attackers in the world.
Unfortunately, this signing is far from a foregone conclusion, it seems as though some of the biggest clubs in the world are ready to compete with Liverpool for his signature.
Either way, this is definitely a situation that is worth keeping an eye on in the coming months.
