Speaking on the Transfer Window podcast, Duncan Castles has named Liverpool amongst the club’s Kylian Mbappe is particularly interested in joining in the summer of 2021.
The journalist claims that the French striker has informed PSG of his desire to move from the French capital in the summer, and if he is going to move, there are four clubs he has his eyes on joining.
Unfortunately, Liverpool may face massive competition for his signature from three of the biggest clubs in the world.
“The clubs he is particularly interested in moving to, Real Madrid, Barcelona, who both have financial issues, Liverpool, and also he’s told friends that he likes Manchester United.
“Now, can that be done this summer? Well, Manchester United, I think have the financial werewithal to do it at anytime if they decide that that deal is the one they want to do above all others, they can structure a move like that.
“Liverpool we know how their finances are at present, we know the efforts FSG have made to improve their finances by laying off and using government schemes, we know that there’s a battle going on at the moment between Klopp and FSG about recruiting a new centre-back.”
Castles would go on to speak more about Liverpool’s centre-back hunt, before concluding”
“Mbappe would be a scale of transfer beyond anything FSG have done before.”

Liverpool fans have been hopeful of signing Mbappe for quite some time now, but remarkably it seems as though this deal may actually be on.
The French striker is amongst the best forwards in the world, and seeing him play in the Premier League is certainly a mouth-watering prospect, especially within Liverpool’s deadly attack.
Mbappe can play on either wing as well as through the middle, so if he joins Liverpool, Jurgen Klopp has a big task when deciding on who he replaces in the starting XI.
