Rodney Marsh has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to speculation that Arsenal left-back Kieran Tierney is on the radar of Napoli.

According to The Telegraph, Napoli are interested in signing Tierney from Arsenal in the long term.

The report has suggested that the Italian club could make a move for the former Celtic left-back in the summer of 2021 and are looking at Emerson Palmieri of Chelsea as a short-term option in January.

Tierney is one of the best left-backs in the Premier League and is rated very highly by Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, who described him as “fantastic” and “terrific” on Football.London earlier this month.

Former Manchester City forward Marsh had earlier suggested on Twitter that Tierney is too good for Arsenal, and that he could move to a bigger club, and the SiriusXMFC pundit has now responded to speculation that Napoli want him, saying that the Italian outfit are not bigger than the Gunners.

Unlikely Arsenal exit

It is quite a surprise that Tierney is being linked with a move away from Arsenal.

While Napoli could very well be keen on signing one of the best young left-backs in the Premier League, it is hard to see the Gunners let him leave anytime soon given his quality and growing importance in the team.
