Tottenham Hotspur winger Georges-Kevin Nkoudou is being targeted by his former club Nantes.

According to The Mirror, French side Nantes are keen to lure Tottenham Hotspur winger Georges-Kevin Nkoudou back to the club this summer.

Tottenham went through a lengthy transfer saga to sign Nkoudou last summer, as they sealed a complicated move for the winger on deadline day in August, having spent months chasing his signature.

The French wide man, 21, impressed in his one season with Marseille, hitting nine goals and five assists in the league and Europa League to trigger interest from Spurs and manager Mauricio Pochettino.

Having sent Clinton N’Jie to Marseille on loan in return, it seemed that Nkoudou would become a valuable first-team player at White Hart Lane, but his season has been one of frustration so far.

Nkoudou has yet to even start a Premier League game this season, and has played just 36 minutes of league action this term across five substitute appearances, starting just two games in total.

It appears that Pochettino sees the speedy winger as one for the future rather than a key first-team player, and The Mirror now report that Nkoudou’s former club Nantes are keen to re-sign him.

Nkoudou scored three goals in 40 games for Nantes before leaving for Marseille in 2015, and it’s believed that Sergio Conceicao’s men are now looking to take the winger back to the Stade de la Beajoire.

It seems unlikely that Tottenham would want to sell Nkoudou having gone through so much to sign him less than a year ago, but he need to play first-team football, and a loan move back to France may be possible depending on Tottenham’s summer incomings.
