Spurs star Harry Kane sat down for a wide-ranging interview with ESPN, and shared how it is his long-term ambition to one day captain Tottenham.
Hugo Lloris is the current club captain, but it is clear to see that Kane plays a key role in the side from a leadership perspective.

The 23-year-old has continued to lead by example with his fantastic displays for the Lilywhites, scoring 14 goals in 19 Premier League outings so far this season.
And the England international striker sat down for an interview with ESPN, highlighting how he has full faith in his ability to one day captain his beloved Spurs:

“Hopefully Hugo is here as long as possible and he’ll be the captain. But if he goes to another club or is injured, that’s a role that I’d love to take up. Everyone knows how I feel about Spurs and the connection I have with the fans. I see myself as a leader and we have a lot of leaders on the field. So why not? I’d love to be captain of Tottenham and hopefully one day England as well.”

Mauricio Pochettino’s men currently sit in second position in the Premier League table, nine points adrift of league leaders Chelsea.
And if they are to have any chance of catching Antonio Conte’s men, Kane will need to keep up his fine run of form and, quite possibly, even have to improve upon his already fantastic goals to games ratio.
