Spurs full-back Ben Davies spoke to reporters about his side’s upcoming trip to Anfield to take on Liverpool, and explain how he and his teammates are wary of a Reds backlash on Saturday, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men head into this weekend’s match in second position in the Premier League table, a full nine points adrift of league leaders Chelsea.

“We’ve seen they’re not on the greatest run but they’re still a very, very good team. They’re going to be dangerous to play against, especially at home. It’s one we’re looking forward to and we’ve got to go into it looking to get the points.”

The 23-year-old Wales full-back has made just four Premier League starts this season for the Lilywhites, but will have an opportunity to prove his true worth to Pochettino over the next month or so, what with the injury sustained by Danny Rose.
