Tottenham winger Nathan Oduwa could be on his way to Slovenia.
According to Slovenian newspaper Ekipa, Tottenham Hotspur winger Nathan Oduwa is set to join Olimpija Ljubljana, with an initial training period likely.
Whilst Tottenham have seen the likes of Cameron Carter-Vickers, Harry Winks and Harry Kane rise up through the ranks at White Hart Lane, some players coming up through the ranks won’t make the grade.
Tottenham’s Nathan Oduwa
Andros Townsend found his first-team opportunities limited before leaving Tottenham for Newcastle United in January 2016, whilst Tom Carroll has moved on to Swansea City for similar reasons.
The likes of Grant Ward, Massimo Luongo and Alex Pritchard have had to drop into the Football League after being in the Spurs academy, and one player appears to be on the verge of a left-field move.
Nathan Oduwa (L) in action for Rangers
Winger Nathan Oduwa joined Spurs at the age of just 11 and has come up through the ranks with the club, but after loan spells with Luton Town, Rangers, Colchester United and Peterborough United, he could be heading to Slovenia having spent ten years with Tottenham.
Slovenian newspaper Ekipa report that Oduwa is set to join up with Olimpija Ljubljana on their training camp in Turkey, and whilst the terms of any move are unclear, linking up for training with a view to a move seems the most likely instance.
The Nigerian wide man, 20, is out of contract at the end of the season, and was refusing to pen a longer-term deal in 2016 (Sky Sports), with his time at White Hart Lane seemingly coming to an end after a number of underwhelming loan spells.

A move to Slovenia would be bizarre to say the least, but Oduwa may want to test himself and play regularly elsewhere, and a move to a city like Ljubljana could be very appealing.
