Real Madrid are reportedly still interested in Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris.

According to The Telegraph, Real Madrid are plotting a summer enquiry for Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris – despite the Frenchman signing a new contract in December.

Lloris, 29, has become one of the Premier League’s top goalkeepers since joining Spurs from Lyon in the summer of 2012, racking up more than 150 Premier League appearances in a Tottenham shirt.

The French international – who has 85 caps for his country – has become one of the finest shot-stoppers in Europe during his time at White Hart Lane, and Tottenham moved to keep him at the club in December.

Despite crashing out of the Champions League in the group stage earlier this season, Lloris chose to extend his contract with the club, penning a new deal until the summer of 2022, which would take him to ten years at the club.

However, despite committing his future to Tottenham, The Telegraph report that Real Madrid remain keen on Lloris, and are planning to enquire about his signature at the end of the season.

Despite Keylor Navas’ impressive displays over the years, it seems that the Spanish giants still want to land a new goalkeeper – and manager Zinedine Zidane still wants to lure his compatriot Lloris to the Spanish capital.

Real also want two other Premier League goalkeepers, with Chelsea’s Thibaut Courtois and Manchester United’s David de Gea on their wish list, but they believe that Lloris would be the least difficult to sign.

Luka Modric and Gareth Bale have made the move from Tottenham to the Santiago Bernabeu in recent years, but Spurs will be desperately hoping that Lloris doesn’t follow them – and the contract signed in December should protect them against losing him this summer.
