Things are finally starting to lookup for West Ham United.
Hammers new-boy Robert Snodgrass spoke to the media in the wake of his side’s impressive 3-1 away win at Southampton yesterday and offered high praise for teammate Andy Carroll, whilst jokingly suggesting that he didn’t know the 6ft 4in striker even had a right foot, as quoted by the club’s official website.

Slaven Bilic brought the Scotland international to the club in January, for a fee believed to be in the region of £10 million, and many thought that the acquisition of Snodgrass would be a potential turning point in West Ham’s season.

And despite a difficult start to life in East London with his 30 minute cameo against Manchester City on Wednesday night, the 29-year-old produced a magnificent display at St Mary’s yesterday, helping his side romp away to a vital away win.
Did you know Fonte played with West Ham’s fan favourite in 2010 at Southampton?
Snodgrass spoke to reporters after the game and took the time to praise his new teammate Andy Carroll, drawing attention to his shock that the former Newcastle United man scored with his right foot, as quoted by WHUFC.com:
“It was a hard one on Wednesday but the lads bounced back terrifically, especially after going a goal behind, the character we showed to get the win was terrific. The first goal was a great finish from a great through ball. Big Andy did what he does best with a terrific run into a good position and he put it away with his right foot. I didn’t even think he had a right foot, to be honest, but he’s put it away great!”

Hammers fans will be hoping that Carroll can stay fit for the remainder of the season, but with his history of injury problems, the jury is still out on the striker.
