Jon Toral has made three appearances for Glasgow Rangers.
Rangers loanee Jon Toral has admitted to RangersTV that while he is improving, his form has not been good enough since he made the move to Ibrox, and suggested that he has been surprised about the level of competition since arriving in January.

Toral was one of just three new arrivals during the January window. But while fellow loanee Emerson Hyndman has made an immediate impression with two goals, Toral has not made such an impact.

And after the Gers were booed off following their 1-1 draw with Ross County on Saturday, Toral explained that things have not exactly gone to plan for him since joining Mark Warburton’s side.
“Every team who play Rangers goes 100% because it is Rangers. You get told that but I think you don’t know that until you’re actually playing in a game,” he told RangersTV.
“I need to get used to that, I think I’m doing that and I am just getting better and hope that continues with every game.

“I think I struggled a little bit to start with, the first few games I think you could tell that.
“With my fitness level I wasn’t quite on point but today I felt I finished the second-half pretty strong, it was my first 90 as well.”
With Rangers winning just one of the three games that Toral has played since arriving, fans would be forgiven for being frustrated with the entire team, including the Spaniard.

Not only has the title realistically been beyond them for a couple of months, but they now appear to be in serious danger of letting Aberdeen pull away in the race for second if they do not get their act together soon.
The two sides are level on points with each other but the Dons have a game in hand to potentially put some daylight between themselves and the Light Blues.

And although Toral has not made a major impression so far, he will surely be one of the players that Warburton looks to to ensure that their campaign does not fall away, leaving them with just as big an uphill battle when it comes to compiling a squad capable of challenging Celtic next season.
