Brendan Rodgers spoke to reporters in the aftermath of his side’s 1-0 win over Aberdeen last night, and jokingly shared how he instructed the club’s physio to stay touch-tight to Moussa Dembele when he traveled down to London for a hospital visit on transfer deadline day, as quoted by the Mirror.

The 20-year-old visited a London hospital to have some fluid removed from his knee, but his trip to London sent the rumour mill into overdrive, after reports had linked him with a £40 million switch to Chelsea (Telegraph).

And Rodgers told reporters how he gave the club’s physio strict instructions when he accompanied the French youngster down to London, as quoted by the Mirror:
“We had to make sure the physio didn’t lose sight of him down there. Ironically the hospital he was in was in Chelsea, believe it or not. So I said to Tim, be like Franco Baresi and just stay tight to him.”

There will surely come a time when Celtic have to sell Dembele, purely from the viewpoint that any kind of offer that exceeds the £25 million mark will be simply too good to refuse.
