Emmanuel Adebayor reposted his goal for Arsenal against Tottenham Hotspur from 2007 via his Instagram story, moments after Mikel Arteta’s side beat Antonio Conte’s men 2-0 on Sunday in the north London derby.
The former Premier League striker posted several winking faces and stuck-out tongue emojis added with that post and video – it was his flick and first-time volley during a 3-1 win at White Hart Lane, he also levelled scores that day with a header.
Not many players have tasted both sides of the north London divide, but the unique character of Adebayor has, as well as scoring several quality goals for both clubs

Given Adebayor’s past relationship with the Arsenal fans, then some would think that his affiliation perhaps sits with Tottenham now.
Many still remember his goal, but most importantly, his celebration when he scored for Manchester City against Arsenal. That will go down as one of the long-standing moments in Premier League history.
Buy Adebayor reposting his goal for Arsenal against Spurs, moments after their win yesterday, is an interesting one and perhaps indicates that he still has some love for those at the Emirates and the past is now all but forgotten.

ARSENAL AND TOTTENHAM HEADED IN OPPOSITE DIRECTIONS
It wasn’t so long ago that Tottenham, under Antonio Conte and against Mikel Arteta, were ripping Arsenal apart and snatching fourth spot from them.
A lot of the players that were part of that game six months ago were playing yesterday, yet the stark difference between the two now is pretty incredible.
It’s not just the results, but it’s the performances, with and without the ball. Arsenal are easy on the eye, they have creative quality throughout, they dictate the tempo of the match and they aren’t relying on one player to drop deep in order for something to happen.
This just could prove to be a disastrous season for Spurs and an equally joyous one for Arsenal if one misses out on the top four and the other secures the Premier League title.
