Wolves accidentally misled a few Arsenal fans earlier today when they announced the signing of Willian José from Real Sociedad.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side announced the Brazilian’s arrival with the hashtag #WelcomeWillian, which sparked a reaction from plenty of Arsenal fans.
Why?
Well, a handful of them thought that Wolves had signed their Willian.
Some have expressed that they were initially happy about that, perhaps due to the former Chelsea man’s slow start to life at the Emirates Stadium.
Others simply revealed that they’d been tricked by Wolves’ tweet.

Since he arrived in north London, Willian is yet to score a goal for the Gunners, and has been largely underwhelming.
It’s not just Arsenal fans who think that.
Ian Wright criticised the attacker’s display in the recent FA Cup win over Newcastle, while Martin Keown also hammered the 32-year-old.
Additionally, Andy Cole questioned Willian’s work rate, and said he’s been ‘bitterly disappointed’ by the South American’s efforts.

Furthermore, when Mikel Arteta was starting the former Shakhtar Donetsk man frequently, Tim Sherwood felt he should’ve been dropped.
By all accounts, Willian simply hasn’t been good enough.
Let’s see what the Arsenal fans on Twitter have been saying about Wolves announcing Willian José earlier today…
