Several members of the Trump family were in attendance to watch the World Cup final between Spain and Argentina.

It was a lively game that required extra time after neither country was able to score inside the standard 90 minutes.

Away from the pitch, much of the attention has been on Donald Trump, who brought several of his family members, including Barron, to the final.

Donald Trump used a helicopter to fly over the World Cup final stadium ahead of kick-off, and his daughter Ivanka Trump shared a video of that online.

Elsewhere, despite hardly making public appearances, Barron travelled with his dad to the New York New Jersey Stadium.

As quoted by the Daily Mail, the US President has recently revealed that his son is a ‘tremendous’ soccer fan and has been giving him information about the sport.

He said: “Messi is great, and Ronaldo is great, and I hate to say this, but I watched Pele when he was with the Cosmos. I got to see Pelé play. These are great players.

“There are some others. I get this information from my son, my son, Barron, is a tremendous soccer fan.

“You really have some other really incredible players playing here but I would say right now, when you look, I have always liked Ronaldo, I’ve always liked Messi.

“I met Messi just recently and I have known Cristiano. They have a pretty good life – much easier than my life, actually!”
