Donald Trump made headlines during coverage of this year’s World Cup final, which was held in the United States of America.
On the field, Spain and Argentina were battling it out to be crowned the 2026 champions following impressive runs to the final.
However, the game itself took a backseat to Trump, who arrived at the New York New Jersey Stadium via helicopter.

Donald Trump uses helicopter to fly over World Cup final stadium
Ivanka Trump, one of the US President’s daughters, has shared a video on X/Twitter of her father arriving at the stadium.
In the clip, the helicopter flies directly over the stadium, which is already full of soccer fans.
There is someone speaking in the background of the video, and while their audio is hard to make out, Trump can clearly be heard saying ‘wow’.
But while Trump seemed to enjoy himself ahead of landing, the reception he has received since from fans at the New York New Jersey Stadium has been pretty negative.
When cameras showed the President on the big screen at the ground, a number of people could be heard booing.
Similarly, soccer fans in Vancouver, Canada, booed Trump when he was shown during TV coverage of the showpiece between Spain and Argentina.
