Joe Hart has told Fraser Forster on Instagram to ‘do your thing’ after he swapped Southampton for Tottenham.

The England International posted on his Instagram on Thursday evening that he is ‘very proud’ to join Spurs.

Hart, who donned Tottenham’s goalkeeping gloves last season before joining Celtic, posted in the comments section: ‘congrats saaaaaaaaan. Do your thing, big man’.

After deciding against extending Pierluigi Gollini’s loan move beyond this summer, Antonio Conte was on the hunt for a new number two.

Captain Hugo Lloris, who kept 16 clean sheets during their run to secure Champions League football, is the bonafide number one at the club.

But more proven and healthy backup was needed, especially with European football bulking up the club’s schedule for next season.

Whilst Forster won’t play Champions League games, he has experienced those special nights before in Celtic colours.

Added with that, he can still be drafted in during Premier League matches and he will be used during the domestic cup games.

Either way, on a free-transfer and at 34 with bags and bags of experience under his belt, Forster is a smart move by Tottenham.

Now it’s a case of seeing who else the club will add to their ranks because they have already signed Ivan Perisic, with Luka Modric giving his thumbs up on the deal.
