It is no secret at this point that Liverpool and Jürgen Klopp want to sign Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund.
Even Carsten Cramer – Managing Director of the German giants – has discussed the England international potentially moving to Anfield, where he made some interesting comments.
What’s the story?
Well, Cramer admitted that he likes Liverpool, and also claimed that he and Borussia Dortmund still maintain a strong relationship with Klopp, who left the Signal Iduna Park in 2015 after winning two Bundesliga titles, among other pieces of silverware.
The 53-year-old told Viet Nam News: “We have a high sympathy for Liverpool for sure. We are still in a good relationship with Jürgen and many others at Liverpool, so for me, it’s my preferred club in the Premier League as well.”
Clearly, Borussia Dortmund are fond of Liverpool, and if they are to sell Bellingham to any side, it would seem Liverpool are at the front of the queue in regards to club relations.
According to ESPN, Liverpool are the favourites to sign the 19-year-old ahead of Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City.
Marca in Spain have added that Real Madrid are also keen on signing Bellingham, but those at the Santiago Bernabeu are worried about Liverpool’s pulling power in this particular transfer battle.
Of course, Liverpool will still have to stump up a fee in the region of £130m – which is what Borussia Dortmund are said to be demanding.
However, if they can find the cash, it would seem Liverpool have a fantastic chance of signing Bellingham.
Liverpool must get themselves organised ahead of Bellingham battle
It looks as if Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City and Real Madrid will all do battle for Bellingham in the summer of 2023.

Therefore, Liverpool must ensure they sort themselves out in the boardroom, to give themselves the best possible chance of signing the teenager.
According to The Athletic, Fenway Sports Group (FSG) are looking to sell Liverpool, while Julian Ward and Ian Graham – Director of Football and Director of Research – have both resigned from their roles.
Such uncertainty will not be attractive to Bellingham, so Liverpool must get their house in order.
