Dillon Brooks has suffered a significant injury setback during what had been a standout season with the Phoenix Suns.

Dillon Brooks sustained a broken left hand in the Suns’ double overtime victory over the Orlando Magic, removing one of Phoenix’s most reliable contributors from the lineup.

The injury occurred during a campaign in which Brooks was delivering career-best production. The development deepens the Suns’ ongoing battle with injuries as they remain in the Western Conference playoff race.

Broken left hand confirmed after early exit

Brooks left the game in the first quarter after what was initially described as a thumb issue before being diagnosed as a hand injury.

He logged just over seven minutes, recording five points and three rebounds before being ruled out. NBA insider Shams Charania reported on the injury.

“Phoenix Suns guard Dillon Brooks has sustained a broken left hand and will be sidelined, sources tell ESPN. Doctors will meet to determine a timetable.”

“Brooks is a key part to the playoff-contending Suns, averaging 21+ points and 3+ rebounds this season. Difficult injury blow.”

His absence is expected to extend for the foreseeable future as doctors determine a recovery timeline.

Phoenix faces mounting injury challenges

The setback comes as Phoenix is already managing other health concerns, including Devin Booker, who is set to be reevaluated in a week due to a hip strain.

The Suns currently hold a 32-24 record as they continue competing for playoff positioning.

Brooks has played a central role in the team’s offensive output and defensive identity throughout the season.

With his availability now uncertain, Phoenix will be forced to adjust rotations and lean on depth during a critical stretch of the schedule.
