The Leicester City youngster offered high praise for Tottenham Hotspur’s Kyle Walker

During an exclusive interview with popular football magazine FourFourTwo, Foxes winger Demarai Gray explained why Spurs full-back Kyle Walker is the toughest opponent he has faced during his time in the Premier League.

The 20-year-old moved to the King Power Stadium from Birmingham City in January 2016, for a fee believed to be in the region of £3.5 million, and has since gone on to make 42 appearances for Claudio Ranieri’s men.

He has showcased his incredibly ability on numerous occasions, and he undoubtedly has an exciting future ahead of him within the game.

He has struggled to live up to expectations this season, however, as have most of the Leicester players, and he will be hoping to return to his best sooner rather than later, to help his side climb away from relegation trouble.

And Gray sat down for a wide-ranging interview with FourFourTwo, discussing his time with Leicester, and responded to a question asking who is the toughest opponent he has faced during his fledgling career:

“Kyle Walker. I faced him twice in my first two games, but I thought I did quite well. It was good for me to play against him straight away because I then knew the standard of defender I would be up against in the Premier League. He’s a very athletic full-back who’s tough to play against and it helped teach me how to adapt my game against different players.”

Walker is widely considered as one of the best right backs in the Premier League, if not Europe, and playing against the likes of the Spurs man can surely only be a good thing for Gray, as far as his development as a top level player is concerned.
