Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli and Aston Villa defender Tyrone Mings have taken to Instagram to given their reaction to Kieran Trippier joining Newcastle United.

Newcastle have announced on their official website this morning that Trippier has signed for the club.

The former Tottenham Hotspur right-back has joined the Magpies on a two-and-a-half-year deal.

Newcastle have reportedly paid Atletico £12 million in transfer fee for the 31-year-old right-back.

Trippier has taken to Instagram to express his delight at moving to Newcastle.

And Tottenham midfielder Alli and Villa central defender Mings are among the clubs who have reacted to Trippier making the move back back to England.

You can see their reaction below.

Alli played with Trippier at Tottenham, while Mings and the new Newcastle defender are England international teammates.

Dele Alli and Tyrone Mings also linked with Newcastle

Interestingly, both Alli and Mings have been linked with moves to Newcastle in the January transfer window.

Marca reported in November that PIF want to sign Mings for Newcastle from Premier League rivals Villa in the January transfer window.

The Northern Echo reported in December that Newcastle are interested in signing Alli from Tottenham on a loan deal until the end of the season with a view to making the deal permanent thereafter.

Could Alli and Mings find themselves playing for Newcastle soon?

Only time will tell.
