Hammers co-owner David Sullivan praised the club’s players for their durability in bouncing back from disappointments this season, when writing his column for the club’s official website, and explained how it is a genuine sign of progress.

Slaven Bilic’s men were desperately unlucky not to win their game against West Bromwich Albion on Saturday, after conceding a last minute equaliser, following a succession of poor decisions from the match-day officials.
But Sullivan shared his confidence that the West Ham squad will bounce back, and how there undoubtedly has been progress made at the club since the early part of the season, when writing his column for WHUFC.com:

“Although conceding a last-minute equaliser in that fashion can almost feel like a defeat at the time, we must not lose sight of the fact that it is another point on the board, and a run of six wins and a draw from our last 10 league matches is genuine cause for optimism. The players have shown on several occasions this season that they are capable of bouncing back when the going gets tough, and we have made enormous progress since the early part of the season.”

The Hammers now have two weeks off until their next game – a trip to Watford in the Premier League, and are utilising the time to good effect by flying out to Dubai for a warm weather training camp.

And Bilic will be hoping that his side return fresher, both mentally and physically, as he looks to guide them back into contention for a place inside the league’s top seven, and in turn, qualification for the Europa League again.
