West Ham United have turned their season around over this past month or so.
Hammers boss Slave Bilic spoke to reporters during his pre-match press conference, and defended the club’s plans to travel out to Dubai for a warm weather training camp following their home game against West Bromwich Albion tomorrow, as quoted by the club’s official website.

The West Ham squad are due to fly out to the Middle East on Wednesday, and will return the following week, in an effort to give the players a chance to recharge the batteries from a mental perspective.
But Bilic insisted that they will be put through their paces, when speaking to the media, and even suggested that the work will be more intense than if they had stayed and trained in London, as quoted by WHUFC.com:

“We are going to train more in Dubai than we would if we were here. And it’s not a question of where you are going, it’s a question of what you are doing while you are there. The players will have some free time of course, to clear their heads and recharge the batteries, which psychologically is important for the remainder of the season. First and foremost, though, we are going to train, and the team will do some very important sessions.”

Tomorrow’s game against the Baggies is a vitally important one for the Hammers, with Tony Pulis’ men currently sitting one place and five points ahead of them in the table.

And if Bilic’s men can string together a run of sustained victories, a place in the Europa League spots may not be entirely out of the question just yet.
