Alex Kral was reluctant to give too much away when asked about a potential move to West Ham United, telling iSport he still has three years on his Spartak Moscow contract.
Was this a player looking to keep things under wraps as speculation continues to swirl about his immediate future?
Or is Kral simply suggesting reports linking him with the Hammers are slightly wide of the mark?
Either way, the Czech Republic international certainly provided more questions than answers when quizzed about his future in midweek.
West Ham see Kral as Mark Noble replacement
Kral, the poodle-haired, £14 million-rated ball-winner, is reportedly in negotiations over a move that would see him join Tomas Soucek and Vladimir Coufal at the London Stadium, with his agent confirming talks have taken place with the Premier League club.
But the former Slavia Prague midfielder was as coy as they come when asked to explain what the future holds for his club career.
“Some people are crazy,” he quipped when asked to reflect on all the talk surrounding West Ham’s interest.

“Sure, I want to advance my career but I still have a three-year contract in Spartak – and that’s true.”
West Ham look to raid familiar hunting ground
West Ham have also held talks with Slavia Prague striker Abdallah Sima as they look to raid a familiar market place, with centre-forward Jan Kuchta another name on David Moyes’ hit-list.
Kral, however, would be a popular addition to the West Ham squad, especially with Mark Noble’s imminent retirement opening a space for an energetic box-to-box midfielder. Watch this space.
