West Ham United have held talks with Slavia Prague regarding a potential Premier League switch for in-demand striker Abdallah Sima, manager Jindrich Trpisovsky told Wiw Sport.
Speaking last week, Hammers boss David Moyes admitted that Tammy Abraham was unlikely to be wearing claret and blue in 2021/22. With Chelsea demanding £40 million for their out-of-favour England international, West Ham will be forced to scour the market for cheaper alternatives (Sky).
But is Sima really a more affordable option?
Slavia president Jaroslav Tvrdik said back in December that the so-called ‘new Thierry Henry’ would not be sold for a penny less than £50 million.
West Ham be warned; the 19-year-old will not be going anywhere on the cheap.
But, with Tomas Soucek and Vladimir Coufal making a huge impact in English football after swapping Prague for London, could the Hammers be convinced that a club-record fee for Sima would represent value for money?
“Several clubs are interested in Abdallah Sima. There is a fixed price at which he could go,” said Slavia coach Trpisovksy, while refusing to reveal what that ‘fixed price’ is.

“We also spoke with the leaders of West Ham and they told us that they place (Sima) very high on the list of their potential reinforcements.”
With 19 goals and eight assists during his first ever season of senior football, Sima has fired Slavia Prague to the Czech league title. He even scored a long-range stunner in the shock Europa League victory over Leicester City in the winter.
Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain have also been linked, although it is believed Sima would prefer a move to England.
