Liverpool could soon get the chance to sign reported summer transfer target Kalidou Koulibaly, but that will mean missing out on Victor Osimhen.
A report in Napoli Magazine in May claimed of Liverpool’s interest in Koulibaly, while Le 10 Sport reported in April that that the Reds were in talks over a transfer (click here to read more).
L’Equipe reported late last month that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is very interested in signing Osimhen from Lille this summer (click here to read more).
The Telegraph has now reported that Napoli are set to put Koulibaly on the transfer market and make him available.
It has been reported that once the Italian club have finalised a £70 million deal to sign striker Osimhen from Lille, they will make Koulibaly available for a transfer.
This means that although Liverpool will get chance to sign the 29-year-old Senegal international central defender this summer, that will come at the cost of missing out on Osimhen.
More need for Kalidou Koulibaly
While Osimhen is one for the future and is a very good striker, Koulibaly is ready to make an immediate impact on the team at Liverpool.
The Senegalese is at the peak of his powers, and the central defender would make the Reds even stronger at the back when paired with Virgil van Dijk.
