Arsenal and Liverpool have officially missed out on a deal for Endrick after Palmeiras announced that he will be joining Real Madrid.

What’s the story?

Well, the 16-year-old sensation had attracted interest from most of Europe’s elite sides after bursting onto the scene in Brazilian football.

Chelsea even invited Endrick to west London in an attempt to convince him to join, arranging a meeting with Thiago Silva as they went on the charm offensive – according to The Times.

The Times add that Liverpool and Arsenal also wanted to sign the teenage prodigy.

However, just like they did when signing Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo Goes, Real Madrid have plucked yet another potential superstar from the depths of South America.

Palmeiras have officially announced the news on Twitter, with Fabrizio Romano sharing the financial details on his personal Twitter account – Real Madrid are spending a monumental fee on Endrick, to say the least.

In total, the Spanish giants will hand €72m (£62m) to Palmeiras for the Brazil Under-17 international.

Real Madrid will pay a fixed €35m (£30m) fee, with €25m (£22m) in add-ons.

Los Blancos will also pay €12m (£10m) in taxes on the deal.

Endrick will officially move to the Santiago Bernabeu in July 2024 after he turns 18.
