The Athletic have reported that Chelsea winger, Omari Hutchinson is ‘attracting interest’ amongst various clubs as a potential loan signing on deadline day.

The Englishman left boyhood club Arsenal to sign for Graham Potter’s side in the summer for a £3 million (Football.London) fee. But chances have been few and far between for the youngster, who has played just 49 minutes of football this season.

As a result, it is no surprise that the 19-year-old, who admitted to getting called ‘amazing’ by the late Pele as a teenager during the ‘Pele Tournament’ (in an interview with GOAL) where he was showcasing his skills and tricks is being monitored by several teams.

In fact, it has been reported by the Athletic that a number of clubs in the Championship and in Europe are eyeing a loan switch for Omari Hutchinson on deadline day.

Further details claim that the highly-rated wide forward held talks with the Blues’ loan technical coach, Carlo Cudicini on Sunday.

It is mentioned that while that there is a possibility that Omari Hutchinson stays at Chelsea till the end of the season, the club are considering a loan exit on deadline day for him, as they are mulling over whether it would be better if he gained first-team football elsewhere for now.

Omari Hutchinson desperately needs minutes

With Todd Boehly having ensured that Graham Potter has the likes of Mykhaylo Mudryk and Noni Madueke to work with, alongside other wingers already at the club like Raheem Sterling, Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech, the competition for places is ridiculous.

Keeping that in mind, Omari Hutchinson should be extremely open to a loan stint on deadline day, as getting minutes is key for his development.

If the talented youngster continues to warm the bench at Stamford Bridge, he might as well have stayed at Arsenal.
