The Fever vs. Liberty clash averaged 2.58 million viewers and peaked at approximately 3.09 million, highlighting how the WNBA’s star power keeps pushing the boundaries on their success.
Caitlin Clark played a huge role in setting another WNBA viewership record
Awful Announcing confirmed the viewership numbers for the Fever vs. Liberty game, listing it as the most-watched WNBA telecast in CBS history, second-highest viewed game of the 2026 season, and the third-most viewed game in WNBA regular season history.
“In primetime on Saturday, the New York Liberty-Indiana Fever matchup averaged 2.58 million viewers on CBS. The game is the most-watched WNBA telecast ever on CBS, and the second-most-watched WNBA game this season, behind Fever-Las Vegas Aces (2.64 million) last Sunday on NBC and Peacock.”
Clark scored 17 points and dished out seven assists in the 108-88 win over the Liberty.
This game performed slightly worse than another Clark-starrer earlier this month when the Fever took on A’ja Wilson’s Las Vegas Aces.
Since Clark joined the WNBA, her appearance has led to multiple record-breaking viewership numbers, going back to making the 2024 WNBA Draft the most-viewed in the league’s history.
The 2025 season-opener between Clark’s Fever and the Sky, who had Angel Reese then, is the most-watched ever with 2.70 million average viewers.
Clark also led to the USA Network having their most-watched game of the season with 1.14 million viewer average for the July 15 game against the Golden State Valkyries.
