Cadillac will make its Formula 1 debut during the Super Bowl on February 8, 2026, marking a major moment for the sport’s growing U.S. presence.
The American manufacturer will join the grid under Formula 1’s new 2026 regulations, unveiling its first car to one of the largest audiences in world sport.
Cadillac Formula 1 will reveal its launch livery during a television advert airing midway through the Super Bowl broadcast on February 8. The event is expected to bring the team’s design to more than 100 million U.S. viewers in a single evening.
The launch forms part of Cadillac’s U.S.-led marketing strategy as it prepares for its first Formula 1 season, with operations split between the United Kingdom and the United States.
The team, led by Graeme Lowdon, will field Sergio Pérez and Valtteri Bottas. CEO Dan Towriss said the launch aims to “show up in a way that feels bold, innovative and distinctly ours.”
How to watch Cadillac’s launch
The livery reveal will air live during the Super Bowl and will be uploaded immediately after to Cadillac’s official website and social media channels. Fans outside the United States will be able to watch online through the manufacturer’s digital platforms.
The advert is scheduled to air the Sunday before pre-season testing begins in Bahrain on February 11, offering the first look at Cadillac’s 2026 Formula 1 car before it appears on track.
Cadillac’s test car and design approach
Before the Super Bowl reveal, Cadillac is running a one-off black test livery for its private Barcelona shakedown. The car was unveiled by General Motors President Mark Reuss at GM’s headquarters in Detroit.
The design was created jointly by Cadillac’s Formula 1 and GM design teams in the U.S. and U.K., celebrating Detroit’s automotive heritage while concealing the car’s aerodynamic details. The show car is on display at the Detroit Auto Show until January 25.
Other 2026 F1 car launches
Red Bull and Racing Bulls opened the 2026 F1 team launch schedule with a joint event in Detroit on January 15. Ferrari and Alpine are set to follow with separate reveals on January 23, while Mercedes and Audi launched their challengers in late January.
Haas and Williams will reveal their liveries online in early February before Aston Martin and McLaren wrap up the launch season from Bahrain ahead of testing.
Cadillac’s entry will expand the Formula 1 grid to 22 cars for the 2026 season, which begins with the Australian Grand Prix on March 8.
The team’s debut will mark the culmination of years of planning by General Motors and underline Formula 1’s accelerating growth in the U.S. market.
Cadillac will begin its first season using Ferrari engines before introducing American-built power units later in the decade.
