Rangers legend Barry Ferguson has claimed that a bid of around £7million could be enough to lure Gers midfielder Glen Kamara away from Ibrox this summer – and fans on Twitter have quickly rubbished the idea of selling Kamara so cheaply.

The Finnish midfielder is reportedly wanted by a host of sides after impressive performances for club and country, although Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has made it clear he wants Kamara to remain at Ibrox.
Ferguson told the Daily Record that he thinks it “might be difficult” for his old side to turn down bids of £7million for Kamara, with his views on player values seemingly stuck somewhere in 2005.
Rangers fans weren’t having any of it though, although one or two were left wondering just what Rangers would realistically get for Kamara in the future.
With two years left on his current contract, talks over a new deal seem to have stalled, leading to fears Kamara may have to be sold sooner rather than later.
If that does happen though, Rangers fans have a far bigger number than 7million in mind when it comes to how much Kamara is worth.
Here are some of the comments from Rangers fans bewildered at Ferguson’s valuation of Kamara:
