Richard Keys has written on his website that Chelsea manager Graham Potter is perfect for Southampton.

The beIN SPORT presenter has said that Potter has failed at Chelsea, and has urged the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners to sack the Englishman.

Potter was appointed as the Chelsea manager earlier this season following the dismissal of Thomas Tuchel.

The Blues are really struggling under Potter and are unlikely to finish in the top four of the Premier League table this season.

Former Sky Sports presenter Keys believes that Chelsea should sack Potter, and has suggested Southampton as the perfect club for him.

The Saints are on the hunt for a new manager following the sacking of Nathan Jones.

Southampton are in real danger of getting relegated from the Premier League to the Championship at the end of the season.

Richard Keys wants Chelsea manager Graham Potter at Southampton

Keys wrote: “I’m afraid the Potter experiment has failed. I’m sorry that it has, but he’s clearly out of his depth.

“Todd Boehly should put him out of his misery. If Potter gets out now he’s £8/10m up on the start of his season and there’s a really good job waiting for him at Southampton, where he’d be better suited.”

Unlikely to happen

In our view, Graham Potter is not going to go from Chelsea to Southampton right now.

That would be ridiculous.

It would mean that Potter would be taking charge of three teams in a single season.

We do not think that the former Brighton boss would do that.

Now, of course, Chelsea could get rid of Potter in the coming weeks if results do not improve.

You just never know.

However, it is very, very unlikely that Potter would then go straight to Southampton, especially when the Saints are fighting for survival in the Premier League.
