Bayern Munich have reportedly opened talks with Ajax talent Jurrien Timber, who is also being watched by Premier League duo Manchester United and Tottenham.
According to Sky Germany, the European super club have begun discussions with the Dutch side over a move for Timber, who this season has been a breakout star for Ajax and a player who has caught plenty of attention from some of Europe’s biggest teams.

Already a Netherlands international, Timber has been tipped for big things after featuring heavily for Ajax this season under Erik Ten Hag, who is reportedly looking to bring the defender with him to United this summer.
However, Bayern opening talks for the defender firmly puts the Bundesliga champions in the driving seat for Timber, who could be the second Ajax player the German side sign this summer.
The European titans are close to signing Ryan Gravenberch, another player who has been linked to United and Tottenham this summer, and now, Timber could join his midfield teammate in a move to Bayern.
Indeed, the news will come as a huge blow for United and Tottenham, who would have viewed themselves as strong candidates to sign Timber, yet just like Graverberch, Bayern now have a grip on the race for the talented centre-back.
Tottenham and United need miracle if they are to beat Bayern to Timber

Timber has established himself this season as one of the most exciting and unique defensive talents in Europe, yet unless a miracle happens, both Tottenham and United will miss out on the youngster to Bayern.
With Niklas Sule leaving for free and the German side already missing out on numerous defensive targets, Bayern will likely do all they can to sign Timber this summer, and for Tottenham and United, they will now likely have no chance in signing the 20-year-old.
