Barry Douglas was linked with a host of clubs after leaving Leeds United, but both Celtic and Rangers have ended up missing out.
The left back spent last season on loan at Blackburn Rovers, and failed to do enough to change Leeds’ mind about a new deal when his contract ended on June 30th.
The speculation over his next club has been swirling for weeks now; Celtic and Rangers were linked by the Lancashire Telegraph, with Douglas a boyhood Gers fan.
The Mirror then suggested that Bristol City were leading the race, only for The Scottish Sun to add that Brescia had offered him a contract.
Douglas ended up choosing a surprise move back to Poland, rejoining Lech Poznan having agreed terms earlier this month.
The left back officially finalised his move on Saturday, and Poznan presented him as their newest player as he gears up for his second spell with the club.

Douglas first joined the Polish side in 2013, spending three years there before heading on to Konyaspor, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Leeds and Blackburn.
Now back in Poland rather than heading to Glasgow, Douglas posted a nine-word tweet sharing his excitement at heading back to Poznan – leaving Celtic and Rangers to look elsewhere.
