The 2026 World Cup is due to come to a close this weekend, but there is already talk about the USA hosting another tournament in the future.
This year’s competition has taken place in Mexico, Canada and America, but the latter of that trio have been given the majority of the games, including both semi-finals and the final.
Now, the owner of NFL franchise the Atlanta Falcons, Arthur Blank, has shown his support for the USA bidding to host another World Cup.

Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank in favour of USA hosting 2038 World Cup
The 2026 World Cup has received mixed reviews on and off the field. Soccer fans in general appear to like the USA.
However, the hydration breaks in every game seem to have been introduced only so there can be more commercials during matches.
Similarly, the extended half-time show at the final this Sunday does not feel like it’s in the spirit of the game.
But with talk of the USA bidding for the 2038 World Cup already mooted, Blank has now been quizzed on such a possibility this week.
When speaking to Mike Conti, he said: “I haven’t heard anything officially, but I’d love to be part of that. I’ll be 120 by then, but still would want to be part of it and be supportive, and anything we can do now or in the future to make that happen we would certainly want to do it.”
The next World Cup in 2030 will mainly take place across Morocco, Portugal, and Spain.
After that, the 2034 showpiece is being held in Saudi Arabia, which means it will likely be held in the winter months, rather than in the summer, due to the extreme temperatures in the Middle East.
