Atletico Madrid may well have dropped another major hint about the future of striker Joao Felix who has been linked with a move to Aston Villa.
Aston Villa have been busy in the transfer market with the club completing a plethora of impressive deals as they prepare for life in the UEFA Champions League.
Ian Maatsen has joined Villa after a successful loan at Borussia Dortmund whilst the Villians also completed the signing of Belgian midfielder Amadou Onana for a fee in the region of £50 million.
It seems the Midlands club are not stopping there with HITC reporting that Villa are interested in Portuguese forward Joao Felix.

Atletico Madrid drop Joao Felix hint
Sources have told HITC that Villa’s sporting director Monchi, alongside manager Unai Emery, are indeed interested in signing the Portuguese forward.
There has been interest from the Saudi Pro League but Felix is understood to not consider that move particuarly appealing during this stage of his career.
Therefore, a move to the Premier League could be a distinct possibility. Felix had a brief, but rather unsuccessful loan spell at Chelsea during the 2022/23 campaign before another loan at Barcelona.
It appears that Atletico Madrid have dropped a hint about the future of the Portuguese forward, that’s according to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo.
The report states that when approached for comment by the Spanish outlet, Atletico refused to confirm that Felix was part of pre-season training for the club.
Felix spotted training alone in another big boost for Villa
Felix was granted three weeks holiday by Atletico following his involvement with Portugul at Euro 2024 but the forward is set to return.
However, there is no sign Felix will return which could fuel speculation of a transfer. Despite a rather unsuccessful spell in West London, this has seemingly not put Villa off from the signing of the Portuguese star.
Felix was spotted training by himself today which has fuelled transfer speculation and the club’s refusal to comment on whether he will join the rest of the squad is another big hint.
