Arsenal transfer news is a hot trend right now, as the Gunners fight Chelsea for Shakhtar Donetsk No.10 Mykhaylo Mudryk.
The north Londoners have already seen a £55m bid rejected for the Ukraine international, and the Evening Standard believe their improved offer of £60m is also set to be snubbed.
Now, the Evening Standard have provided all the latest regarding Arsenal’s Mudryk pursuit.
What’s the story?
Well, Arsenal will hope that Chelsea complete their £112m deal to sign Enzo Fernandez from Benfica, as the Blues are expected to ramp up their interest in Mudryk if they miss out on the Argentina international.
Sergei Palkin – Chief Executive Officer of Shakhtar Donetsk – is in London for talks regarding the 22-year-old’s future this week, as he attempts to get interested parties to meet the £85m asking price.
Mudryk is said to have given Arsenal his word that he will join, with The Sun adding that he has already agreed personal terms on a five-year contract with the Gunners.

Darijo Srna – Director of Football at Shakhtar Donetsk – is also set to travel to London for talks regarding Mudryk, and is expected to be at Stamford Bridge when Chelsea take on Manchester City.
Interest in Mudryk comes after he scored ten goals and provided eight assists in 18 appearances for Shakhtar Donetsk.
Three of those ten goals have come in the Champions League, while the Ukrainian sensation has also provided two of his eight assists in Europe’s greatest club competition.
