Here is the latest transfer news coming out of Arsenal as the Gunners still pursue more signings this summer.

Arsenal struck an agreement with Bologna for the signing of Riccardo Calafiori earlier this week but the Gunners are seemingly not stopping there.

After narrowly missing out on the Premier League title for the second year in a row, the Gunners want to go one step further this time around and win the famous trophy.

Here is the latest news coming from North London.

Mikel Merino

Arsenal have been heavily linked with a move for Spanish midfielder Mikel Merino, following the Gunners’ unsuccessful attempt to sign Martin Zubimendi.

HITC had reported that Arsenal were interested in Merino as a Zubimendi alternative but would face competition from Barcelona.

Now, a report from Spanish outlet Sport claims that ‘everything indicates’ the former Newcastle United midfielder will end up as an Arsenal player.

It appears that Merino will not be the only signing from the Spanish side at Euro 2024.

Fabian Ruiz

Another Spanish midfielder has been linked to Arsenal and that is Paris Saint-Germain’s Fabian Ruiz, who was a key man at Euro 2024.

The former Napoli midfielder has seemingly slipped down the pecking order at the French giants and a move away looks to be a possibility.

Duncan Castles speaking on The Transfers Podcast claims that Arsenal have opened talks for Ruiz but any deal would be dependent on a midfield sale.

Castles also states that a deal would be similar to that of David Raya, with the Gunners loaning him for a year with an obligation to buy at the end of that year.

Ivan Toney

After the Gunners missed out on the signing of RB Leipzig forward Benjamin Sesko, a new striker would surely be targeted.

Brentford’s Ivan Toney is understood to be of interest to Atletico Madrid this summer but there remains interest from a host of Premier League clubs.

Arsenal are certainly among them. However, according to a report from talkSPORT, Ivan Toney has his heart set on a move to North London but Tottenham Hotspur instead.

Spurs are in need of a new striker and Toney would be perfect but this would be a bitter blow for the Gunners.

Fabio Vieira

Lastly, an outgoing and that is Portuguese midfielder Fabio Vieira who has been very unfortunate to not play as much as he perhaps would have liked.

With club captain Martin Odegaard in his position, Vieira has been left frustrated with his chances.

However, according to a report from TBR Football, Arsenal have rejected an approach from the Saudi Pro League for the midfielder.

Arteta reportedly has big plans for the Portuguese midfielder next season and wants him to stay.
