Don Hutchison has stated on Twitter that Arsenal transfer target Victor Osimhen will be ‘the best in the world soon’ as he continues to shine for Serie A leaders, Napoli.

The former Liverpool midfielder added that Osimhen is the ‘real deal’ after he netted once again for Napoli during their 2-0 win over Sampdoria in their most-recent Serie A outing.

The 24-year-old is one of the top forwards in world football today, with the likes of Mikel Arteta’s table-topping Arsenal and Eddie Howe’s Champions League-chasing Newcastle United wanting to sign the player.

Osimhen has ten goals from his 13 Serie A matches this season, added with his goal in the Champions League, with the Italian side cruising through to the knockout stages, including beating Liverpool 4-1 at home.

Whilst Napoli have had past financial issues, they probably won’t worry too much about losing Osimhen right now because his current deal runs into 2025.

So, if you want to sign the player, then you have to put a serious amount of dough on the table for him because his stock is continuing to rise, especially if Napoli wins the Serie A title, as Hutchison lauded the player.

OSIMHEN WOULD BE A DREAM PURCHASE FOR ARSENAL

Whilst Arsenal are looking for that attack-minded player this month, there’s no way a club like Napoli would sell one of their top talents in January.

But if the Gunners can secure Premier League glory and with a return to the Champions League, then it’s players like Osimhen who you target.

The Nigeria international is just a goalscoring machine full of energy, a burst of pace, quick feet and intelligent off-the-ball movement.

If he were to play in Arsenal’s system, then he would eat up the chances created by the London club, especially from the quick-thinking captain, Martin Odegaard.
