Arsenal now have a golden chance to sign Tottenham target Weston McKennie from Juventus after a rumour emerged from Italy.
Arsenal can sign Tottenham target
Well, Arsenal could soon upset Tottenham in the transfer market.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio (via Football London), Juventus are interested in signing Nuno Tavares from the Gunners.
The Portugal Under-21 international does not appear to have a future at the Emirates Stadium, after Oleksandr Zinchenko was bought to compete with Kieran Tierney at left-back.
Tavares also wanted Arsenal to give Marseille an option to buy as he prepared to join the French giants on loan, which suggests he also doesn’t see himself staying in north London.
It comes after Ben Jacobs of CBS Sports revealed that Arsenal are monitoring Juventus maestro McKennie – who cost the Italian giants £16m – ahead of the January transfer window.

In our view, Edu now has a golden chance to sign the United States international and also offload Tavares, in what could be a player-plus-cash deal, or a straight swap, in January.
Juventus taking an interest in Tavares will worry Tottenham in that respect.
It was The Times who revealed that McKennie is a target for Antonio Conte this winter, as the Italian aims to bring a new defender, midfielder and striker to Spurs.
Tottenham have an ace up their sleeve in Arsenal battle
While Arsenal could use Juventus wanting Tavares to their advantage, Tottenham also have a few trump cards when it comes to dealing with the Italian giants.
Spurs have already taken Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur from Juventus, with Fabio Paratici – Director of Football at Tottenham – still holding key contacts with those at the Allianz Stadium from his time working there.
Of course, that does not mean Juventus are going to look favourably on Tottenham in the battle for McKennie, as the need for Tavares could take precedence in Turin.
Keep an eye on this situation, as the American could soon be arriving in north London.
