Is Thomas Partey fit? That’s a question Arsenal supporters have been pondering in recent weeks.

But with the Gunners only having one Premier League match to go – a must-win game, too – now the question is a little bit more pertinent.

Partey hasn’t played for Arsenal since the 3-0 drubbing by Crystal Palace back in April.

And a report from Football London has an update on the Ghana international, ahead of Sunday’s visit of Everton at the Emirates Stadium.

Is Thomas Partey fit?

Unfortunately for Mikel Arteta and Arsenal, the answer is no.

Chris Wheatley of Football London has written this afternoon that although Partey is back on the training field at Colney, Sunday’s visit of the relegation-threatened Toffees comes way too soon for the former Atletico Madrid midfielder, who cost £45 million in 2020 [BBC].

Overall, the Gunners could be missing as many as six first-team players this weekend.

That’s because Kieran Tierney has already been ruled out for the season, but Sky Sports reported on Wednesday that four other big-name figures weren’t spotted in Arteta’s latest training session.

According to Katie Shanahan, reporting live from London Colney, Ben White, Gabriel Magalhaes, Takehiro Tomiyasu and Emile Smith Rowe were absent from the Spanish manager’s session yesterday afternoon.

Arsenal need to a win to maximise their chances of pipping Tottenham – who need only a point away to relegated Norwich City – to Champions League qualification but, in light of their injury woes, and Everton potentially needing a result to stay up, this is certainly going to be a difficult game at the Emirates Stadium for the hosts.
