Fabrizio Romano has taken to Twitter to provide some exciting news for Arsenal fans, which involves Premier League rivals Manchester City.

What’s the story?

Well, the reliable Italian journalist believes Arsenal have held fresh talks with the representatives of Gabriel Jesus, and have now put the Brazilian at the top of their shortlist.

Romano adds that talks between Arsenal and Manchester City are yet to take place, although Jesus is now expected to leave following the arrival of Erling Haaland.

If you didn’t already know, the Citizens wrapped up the signing of the Norway international from Borussia Dortmund in a deal worth £51.2m.

You can see what Romano wrote on Twitter in full below.

The Italian adds that Leicester maestro Youri Tielemans is also on Arsenal’s shortlist, and is highly rated by the Gunners.

Lastly, Romano states that Champions League football will be key if Mikel Arteta is to sign Jesus and Tielemans.

So far this season, Jesus has scored 13 goals in 39 appearances, while also providing 12 assists.

In the case of Tielemans, the Belgian has scored seven goals in 46 appearances, while also providing four assists.

Arsenal could sign more than Gabriel Jesus & Youri Tielemans

It seems as if Arsenal could be in for a busy summer.

According to reports elsewhere, the Gunners are also hoping to bring Bologna defender Aaron Hickey to the Premier League.

The Scotland international has shone in Italy, scoring five goals in 34 Serie A appearances from left-back this term.

Arsenal are also said to be interested in signing Monaco wonderkid Aurelien Tchouameni.

However, with Liverpool and Real Madrid also sniffing around, Arteta would surely have to secure Champions League football if he wants a shot at that deal.

Nevertheless, keep an eye on things at the Emirates Stadium this summer, as we expect Arsenal to be very busy indeed.
