It’s probably been the near-perfect start to the New Year and 2023 for Arsenal fans. They are sitting top of the Premier League table and now they have been able to watch their north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur suffer a defeat to Aston Villa in the Premier League.
None other than their former manager – Unai Emery – masterminded Aston Villa to a deserved 2-0 win over Antonio Conte’s Tottenham and a certain, Calum Chambers, who came on as a second-half substitute, couldn’t help but leave an Arsenal-themed message for fans.
After Villa’s win, the centre-back, who left Arsenal on a free transfer last January, posted on Instagram ‘North London is…Claret’.

It’s a clear dig at Spurs from Chambers and it’s a message that Arsenal fans in the comments section just loved.
Highbury legend Ian Wright also loved the comment as he posted heart emojis in reaction to Chambers’ IG post,
Whilst right-back Matty Cash added ‘nice caption dude’ and Lucas Digne, who started the game at left-back and secured a clean sheet, responded with laughing emojis.
EMERY BEATS TOTTENHAM AGAIN
During his days as Arsenal boss, the Spanish coach provided a number of memorable moments during the North London derby.
Well, he was at it again in the capital, this time in the colours of Aston Villa.
Throughout the game, Villa just didn’t allow Tottenham’s attacking line any breathing space, including Harry Kane taking his first touch of the ball after 14 minutes.
That sense of frustration continued for Tottenham because, in the second-half, Emi Buendia and Douglas Luiz – two former Arsenal targets – punished the hosts to hand Villa a deserved three points.
