Nicky Bandini has warned Arsenal and Chelsea to be ‘very wary’ about signing Juventus hitman, Dusan Vlahovic.

The Italian football expert pointed towards how things haven’t gone as planned for Vlahovic since his transfer to Turin last January, and added to his injury problems, as she told Transfer Talk on Sky Sports.

Only 12 months ago, Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal wanted to sign the 22-year-old after letting Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang go, but they lost out on the Serbia star’s signature.

Arsenal and Chelsea have already been involved in a transfer tussle, after the West London club hijacked a deal for Ukraine star, Mykhailo Mudryk.

Well, it seems as though many more transfer fights might come down the line because the duo are keen on Juventus’ £80 million forward, who has six goals in ten Serie A games this season.

But if they do move for the all-action attacker, then it has come with a warning.

“He ended up at Juventus and we were talking about him every time,” said Bandini. “It hasn’t gone great for him at Juventus, a lot of that is down to injuries.

“His goalscoring form hasn’t been terrible. When you break it down to minutes-per-goals on the pitch, then he hasn’t had a terrible time on the pitch.

“But he hasn’t been that transformative talent that you think £70 million Euros is going to get you. I would be very wary if I was Arsenal or Chelsea. I would be very wary of spending anything close to what Juventus spent on him.

“With his injury situation, and if anything were to happen, maybe a loan deal with an option to buy would be a sensible way to approach it. I think with the money Juventus spent last year, then it makes this a very difficult deal to do.”

WAIT FOR VLAHOVIC

Unless Chelsea go on another madness and throw so much money at Vlahovic that Juventus can’t ignore, then both clubs should wait until the summer for his signature.

The key thing that needs to be noted is that Juventus are in a mess, both on and off the field.

They have a number of star-studded players in their team and it wouldn’t be a surprise if some of them are targetted by teams, and that for possible lower fees than Juventus would want to sell them for.
