Sparta Prague are planning for life without reported Arsenal and West Ham United target Abdallah Sima by signing the striker’s replacement, manager Jindrich Trpisovsky has told Wiw Sport.
While things have gone quiet around Sima of late, don’t be surprised to see this long-running transfer saga take another twist during the final few weeks of the transfer window.
West Ham’s striker search is showing no signs of ending, with deals for Adam Armstrong, Paul Onuachu and Youssef En-Nesyri hitting the buffers.
Sima, however, will be sold if the right offer arrives after firing Slavia Prague to the Czech title and Europa League semi-finals last season, netting 20 goals along the way.
And, with Ivan Schranz arriving from Jablonec, Slavia appear to have found a man who could step up to the plate should Sima depart.

“With the arrival of Ivan Schranz, we have acquired an attacking player who can play four positions in our system. You should know Abdallah Sima and (highly rated winger) Peter Olayinka could leave, so you have to prepare for the change,” says Trpisovsky.
It’s understood Senegal international Sima would welcome the chance to make a name for himself in England, with Arsenal joining West Ham in expressing an interest, although the Gunners now appear to be focusing on Tammy Abraham (Standard).
Last month, Trpivosky even claimed Slavia had held talks with West Ham regarding a potential switch to the London Stadium for one of the most exciting young talents in Eastern Europe.
“We also spoke with the leaders of West Ham and they told us they place him very high on the list of their potential reinforcements,” Trpivosky admitted.
Should Sima end the summer in claret and blue, he will follow in the footsteps of ex-Sparta players Vladimir Coufal and Tomas Soucek.
