Youssef En-Nesyri ‘wants to stay’ at Sevilla despite links with Premier League sides Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United, Bono told Marca.
When we say Bono, we obviously mean the Sevilla goalkeeper, although we’d love to know what The Edge thinks about the ongoing travails of Luuk de Jong at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan or whether Adam Clayton believes Ivan Rakitic has lived up to expectations during his second spell in Seville.
Barely a week has gone by without En-Nesyri being linked with one club or another after the finest season of his career at the 2020 Europa League winners.
West Ham are still in the market for the spring-heeled Moroccan, having failed with a £27 million bid in January, while Wolverhampton Wanderers and Spurs also having expressed their interest in the £35 million-rated forward (Mundo Deportivo).
But, according to his Sevilla teammate, the striker is going nowhere.
Will West Ham United miss out on Youssef En-Nesyri again?
“He is a player who wants to be in the club, he has commitment and that is important,” said Bono.
It is six months now since West Ham sold Sebastien Haller to Ajax. But David Moyes will be complaining that ‘I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For’ as another striker target slips through the net.
“(En-Nesyri) has offers everywhere and but he wants to stay at the club. He wants to improve his performances and raise his level.

“It is important to have players like this. He is a forward who gave us something else. Youssef still has room for improvement, which is exciting for the team and the club.”
En-Nesyri scored an impressive 24 goals during his first full season on the citrus-soaked seats of Seville, doubling his tally from the previous campaign.
His agent recently struck a similar tone to Bono back in March, suggesting that the striker has little interest in swapping Andalusia for the City of Blinding Lights.
And, yes, we do mean London.
