Sunderland face Tottenham Hotspur at the Stadium of Light in a crucial Premier League clash on Tuesday.
Sunderland host Tottenham in the Premier League on transfer deadline day, and Black Cats supporters will be hoping that, as well as trying to pick up a positive result on the pitch, they can do some good business off it. But could they ultimately fail on both fronts?
HITC Sport’s James Rutherford and Michael Ramsey seem to think that Sunderland may be in for a difficult day.
David Moyes has not been able to be too busy this month. But his funds may well have been boosted by the departure of Patrick van Aanholt, who has joined Crystal Palace in a deal that could be worth £14 million (via BBC Sport).

But the guys are not convinced that that money will be enough to help Sunderland sign the players who will boost their survival hopes.
HITC Sport’s James said: “It’s a lot of money, and I’ve seen a lot of fans saying it’s great we’ve got £14 million for someone who’s not that good but, one, there’s no guarantee you’re going to be able to spend that £14 million, and two, are you going to get that much quality for £14 million?”

They face a similarly tough task trying to get a positive result against Tuesday’s opponents. Tottenham have not lost in the Premier League since early December and have won 10 of their last 12 games in all competitions.
One of the key men in Mauricio Pochettino’s squad has, once again, been Mousa Dembele. The Belgian has been excellent in Spurs’ midfield, but his performances have perhaps been somewhat overshadowed by the recent contributions from the likes of Dele Alli and Harry Kane.

But the guys have suggested that there are few names in the top flight who deserve as much credit as the Tottenham man.
“He’s probably one of the unsung heroes of the Premier League. You look at, of the current crop, great Premier League centre-midfielders, I don’t think many people would say Mousa Dembele but I think his name’s got to be in there,” James added.
But will Dembele help Spurs to another three points at the Stadium of Light? To find out the guys’ thoughts in full, as well as their predictions, simply watch the preview at the top of the page…
