Tottenham Hotspur announced the signing of Bryan Gil earlier this week, and if reports are to be believed, they owe a lot to Sergio Reguilon for that signing.

Indeed, the Spanish left-back apparently endorsed the move to his former Sevilla teammate, talking up the club to the 20-year-old.

In fact, Reguilon’s influence was that great to the point where Spurs actually thanked the defender in their tweet announcing the signing, dubbing the Spaniard ‘agent Sergio’.

Reguilon clearly has the gift of the gab when it comes to advertising Spurs to potential new signings, and while he may have a future as a Director of Football or a Sporting Director, Spurs may want him to do some more transfer tinkering this summer.

Indeed, Reguilon clearly still has a strong relationship with his ex-Sevilla teammates, and one player he may want to get in touch with is Jules Kounde.

It’s no secret that Spurs are in for Kounde this summer, they’ve reportedly already had a part-exchange deal involving Davinson Sanchez accepted for him, but he’s supposedly turned Tottenham down due to their lack of Champions League football.

Dean Jones stated earlier this week that Spurs could go back in for Kounde, and if they do, they may want to deploy ‘agent Sergio’ once again to try to sway the player’s view.

Of course, a lack of Champions League football is an issue, but if Reguilon has a word in his ear, he may be able to sell him on the project in the same way he did with Gil.

Kounde may seem out of reach at the moment, but Reguilon could be Spurs’ ace in the hole when it comes to this transfer pursuit.
